Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving suffered a right heel contusion during his team’s 125-112 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, the team announced on Saturday.
Irving has returned to Dallas to undergo treatment and has no timetable for his return. He didn’t sustain any structural damage, sources told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
The veteran suffered the injury after teammate Dwight Powell tripped over him while trying to secure a loose rebound during the first half. Irving left the contest and did not return.
