The Salty Donut plans first Orlando restaurant near downtown

The Salty Donut — described as an artisanal doughnut shop and coffee bar — on July 14 announced on social media that it will open its fourth location in Orlando. A company spokeswoman said the new shop will open in the fall in a standalone store in the Audubon Park community near downtown Orlando. About 30 people will be hired for the new shop, making the company as a whole surpass 100 employees.

“Orlando, we’re coming,” the chain said in a social media post. “There’s tons of fun and exciting details that we’ll be sharing in the time leading up to opening.”

The new store’s address is 3025 Corrine Drive — a former car/auto service building. The 1,582-square-foot building built in 1967 is owned by Coral Gables-based TSD 3025 Corrine LLC, an entity that ties back to The Salty Real Estate Holdings LLC, Orange County and state records showed. The property owner paid $873,600 to buy the 0.3-acre site in December 2019 from Winter Park-based MG Auto LLC, county records showed.
