Palm Beach County receives salary money withheld during mask mandate fight

The check is in the mail for school board members in Palm Beach County and other districts that were sanctioned by the state for mandating masks. The Florida Department of Education will release more than $877,000 of funds withheld from eight school districts as punishment for the schools’ decision to mandate masks in the classroom, state and local officials confirmed to CBS 12 News.
