Tropical Storm Ian forecast to become hurricane on Monday, major hurricane on Tuesday

Due to the current forecast for Tropical Storm Ian, the plan for Pasco County Schools is as follows:
Schools and offices will be open on Monday.
Schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

5 pm Sun…Tropical Storm Ian was located 220 mi SSE of Grand Cayman. Ian was moving to the WNW at 12 mph with max sustained winds of 45 mph. Some strengthening & a turn to the NW is forecast tonight.
